Muslim of the village decided to kill that monk and prepared to commit the murder.
The monk knew nothing of the false allegation or the conspiracy going on against him. as usual he made a round of the lake on foot and he was then without any clothes on. he put on a loin-cloth and a napkin hung on his left shoulder. he had also a staff in one hand and a lota (bowl) in the other. The Muslims with about 50 or 60 others, ambushed the monk. One of them approached Baba and picked up a conversation while walking along. Gradually, the other Muslims from different ambushes joined them. Before answering why they were with him, one of them told Baba that they got together to drive away the monkeys from their farmland. Baba then did not have an iota of doubt. Like every day, he went along with a peaceful heart. On walking they requested Baba to enter their village, and he without a feeling of fear began to advance to their village. Baba was then surprised to see an army of 50 to 60 Muslims, well-armed, waiting for someone. Till then Baba failed to follow their conspiracy. Within a short while, as the day came to an end and it became dark, Baba expressed his desire to leave for his hut. Though every place was the same to Baba, he thought that many were as if waiting for him at his cottage to pay their obeisance to him. There was a time when people from different lands used to pay their respect to him. Baba thought if somebody from a distant land had come to him, then he might be worried for not having seen him. Thinking thus, Baba with his soft and sweet words bade farewell to them and began to walk to his hermitage. at that time none of them uttered any word, nor did anyone make any objection. But as he advanced a little, a man with one arm interrupted him and made him stand there. On query, made by Baba, he said that an old man wished to meet him. Baba thought that if that old man would feel happy to meet him, then he would leave for his hermitage thereafter. after a while, the old man, accompanied by the young son of the leader of the village, came to him and asked him many questions. On hearing their harsh and fiery words and looking at their angry faces, Baba realised that they had a plot in mind. They at first asked Baba
