One day Baba told us a story about Nepal. he told us that Gorakshanathji, the most enlightened soul, used to visit a Brahmin family and the wife of the Brahmin used to cordially welcome him daily. she used to welcome him as a sage, knowing little about how great was the sage. he then told his wife, “When he will come tomorrow, take our son to him and pray to him so that our boy is graced with power and wealth.”
in the morrow, when Gorakshanathji came to their house at noon, the wife of the Brahmin gave him a cordial welcome. after that she, as per the wish of her husband, took their son to him and prayed to him, “Bless him so that he can win both power and prosperity.” The sage looked at the boy with a smile and then took out something from what he was munching and offered the same to the boy. at first, the boy respectfully accepted it as it was being offered to him by a sage, but later on as he did not like to eat it, he dropped it from his hands and it fell at his feet. Gorakshanath felt sad at what he had seen and said, “had the boy eaten it, then he could have become the Emperor. But as he dropped it at his feet, every place he would set his feet on would be within his empire.” On having thus been blessed, the Brahmin couple felt very happy. Later on, when the boy grew old, he went to different places of Nepal on horseback and all the places he visited became a part of his empire. since by the grace of Gorakshanathji he became the Emperor of such a vast land, he established a ‘Jhanda’ (Flag) in his (Gorakshanathji) name and had the image of Gorakshanathji inscribed on the coins of his land. Baba told us that the kingdom of Nepal was thus founded.
Baba told us that one who is honest takes everyone around him to be honest and one who is a thief takes everyone around to be so. To make this point clear, Baba told us a story. Once a sage was absorbed in meditation while he was sitting at the bank of a river which was adjacent to a forest. a thief, while returning
