and said, “They are not only wicked but cheats, they have tricked you to ruin. For your information, the things you have imported have already appreciated in value.” On hearing the words of Vivek, Maniram cried in pain and repetitively asked him how to recover them. Vivek suggested to him, “First of all find out the place of their Guru and sit there in disguise of a mad man, because they would surely go to their Guru. Go and sit there and listen to their plans. however hard they try to drive you away from there, you must not leave that place. On learning about their plan, we will decide ours thereafter.”
as per the suggestions of Vivek, Maniram in guise of a mad man went to the Guru of the cheats and sat there at a side in a humble way. The cheats went there and at first they tried their best to drive away the mad man. But when they failed to do so, they took him to be a mad man. They then told their Guru in detail about how they had swindled the merchant. But when their Guru demanded a share of their booty, they did not agree to it. They defended, “We have been intelligent enough to acquire them, and so why shall we share with you?” The Guru said, “if you do not share with you, then i will teach the merchant how to recover his ships.” On hearing this, one of the cheats said, “it would be of no use because it has duly been recorded in a will. Only one bag of articles of same value would be enough in exchange for the ships.” The Guru instead said, ‘i will tell the merchant that he must demand a bag of bones of mosquitoes. and you, i am sure, would not be able to offer the same, and in that case as per the conditions, written in the said Will, the merchant will be able to have his ships back.”
Maniram, in the guise of a mad man, heard all about this and left the place. and later on he, like an ordinary gentleman, demanded a few bags from the cheats in disguise. When they, according to the will, were ready to offer him the bags, the mer- chant said that his father had been seriously ill. a physician had been appointed to attend to his father. he then added that the physician had prescribed a few bags of mosquito bones which he wanted from them. since the cheats failed to provide him with bags
