an English biography of this God-man is long overdue. We all feel happy that at last his devotees have been able to make it. i am thankful to two of my past students, sri sakti Prasad Mishra (Nivedita Professor at our institute) and sri asit Baran Giri (Ex-headmaster, Mitra institution at Bhawanipur, Kolkata) and also Mr. Biswanath Das (Ex-Director, Doordarshan, Kolkata) for translating from Bengali biography and then editing it. i am also thankful to Mr. Tapas Banerjee whose parents were disciples of hansdevji and who himself had the rarest privilege to sit at his holy feet in his childhood days, for prodding me to be in the midst of this publication.
We seek the blessings of hansdev Babaji.
