७ आत्ा ब्रह्म स्वरूप है, िहीं भेदका गंध िाग द्ेश माटीका धमजि, ता मे मािव अंध
ātmā brahma svarūpa hai, nahīṃ bhedakā gaṃdha rāga dveśa māṭīkā dharma, tā me mānava aṃdha
soul is the true reflection of Brahman. There is no difference between them. That person is blind who thinks that these attributes are the nature of the soul.
८ िाम द्क्पा सदगुरू दया, साधुसंग जब हधोय, तब प्राणी जािे कुछ, िहे तवषय िस भधोय
rāma kripā sadagurū dayā, sādhusaṃga jaba hoya, taba prāṇī jāne kucha, rahe viṣaya rasa bhoya
When a person receives the grace of Rama, his Guru’s compassion as well as the association of sadhus, he is able to gain some true spiritual knowledge. Otherwise he will ruin his time in materialistic pursuits.
९ पिमात्ासे आत्ा, जुडा िहे बहु काल
सुंदि समला कि ददया, सदगुरू समले दलाल
paramātmāse ātmā, juḍā rahe bahu kāla suṃdara milā kara diyā, sadagurū mile dalāla
Jivatma (soul) remains separate from the ‘Paramatman’ (supreme) for a long time unless and until the Guru unites them as a mediator. Only by the grace of Sadguru, the Jivatma is able to unify with the Divine.
१० शांतततुल्ं तपधो िास्स् ि संतधोषपात्पिं सुखम् ि तृष्ाया: पिधो व्ालधिजि च धममों दयासम॥
śāṃtitulyaṃ tapo nāsti na saṃtoṣapātparaṃ sukham na tṛṣṇāyā: paro vyādhirna ca dharmoṃ dayāsama.
There is no peace equal to penance, no happiness equal to satisfac- tion, no disease beyond desire and no religion equal to kindness.
