the devotees of Baba intently wished him to pay a visit to their house but their prayer was not granted. at long last, on being beseeched, Baba consented to visit Bengal. By the end of Phalguna
in 1337 Bangabda (1931 a.D.) Baba left the Kailash for Bengal. Kolkata is a place, not at all liked by Baba. ‘Kolkata’, he said, ‘is a land of many a desire’. so Liluah which is close to Kolkata was ultimately selected as a place for Baba. he stayed in the palatial building of his Marwari disciple, named sir hukumachanda
swarupchand.
hardly had Baba arrived at Liluah, when a great many disciples
from Kolkata and her environs poured in. hence he did not get rest there. Baba stayed there for only a few days and left for Tripura. The Royal Family of Tripura had been introduced to Baba at his cottage on the bank of the Jhusi at the Kumbh Mela the previous year. Within a very short while after that meeting, many members of the Royal Family came to the Kailash to pay obeisance to him. The Royal Family, who then stayed at Jasidih for a few days, made a fervent prayer to Baba to pay a visit to Tripura. Later on, the Maharaja of Tripura wrote a letter to Baba and made a special arrangement for the latter’s visit to Tripura.
