isfaction comes peace. Detachment is born of renunciation. Until and unless the desire is uprooted, there is no satisfaction. One who gets absorbed in the ocean of satisfaction is awarded with total peace and happiness. a sannyasin who is against getting attached to things petty and takes with all pleasure whatever God has granted to him is really graced by God. That very sannyasin has neither suffering nor any want. said Baba:
नगिह गांठ िहह बांधते, जब समले तब खाय। गधोतवंद ताकी पीछे नििे, मत भूखे िह जाय॥
giraha gāṃṭha nahi bāṃdhate, jaba mile taba khāya, goviṃda   tākī   pīche   phire,   mata   bhūkhe   raha   jāya.
One afternoon a few students from a students’ home came to visit Baba and he offered them different kinds of invaluable advice. Baba said, “how are men and animals different? Man eats and rears his or her children. so do the animals. Both of them have the same duty. The only difference being, man can ponder over the Paramatman and can become one with Paramatman, but the animals are fated to be deprived of that innate quality. since you, as a result of the good deeds done in your previous lives, are born of man, you must avail yourselves of the golden opportunity granted to man. The first and foremost duty of man is to achieve deliverance (i.e. “Mukti”). On the topic of deliverance, Maharshi ashtavakra told Rajarshi Janaka—
मुनक्समच्छसस चेत् तात! तवपयाि् तवपयत् त्यज। क्षमाजजिवदयातधोपसत्यं पीयूपवद् भज॥
muktimicchasi cet tāta! vipayān vipayat tyaja, kṣamārjavadayātopasatyaṃ   pīyūpavad   bhaja.
The meaning is—Oh dear, if you want liberation, give up all sense engagement with the objects as one gives up or throws away the poison; cherish compassion, truthfulness, straightforwardness, happiness as one cherishes all that is ‘amrita’ or nectar.
in order to drive home into the heart of those young students, Baba told them a tale:
