mothered many a son. if you consent to allow one of your sons to take care of me, then it will be of much help to me.”
The mother heard his request and said, “i cannot share any of my sons, they are close to my heart. Please leave.”
shortly afterwards, one of her sons died in an accident and the mother in that woman was very shocked. all her hundred sons came to her, consoled her but she was inconsolable and she went on wailing. all her neighbours came to console her but all in vain. at last she was taken to a pond to have a bath. Bath over, Narada got back his previous physique. seeing his clothes and veena, he picked them up. he then remembered his past experience and felt extremely sorry. soon after he went to heaven to pay his obeisance to Golokpati (i.e. sri hari). On seeing him, sri hari smiled a little, and it made Narada feel really ashamed. Narada then said to hari, “My Lord, Thy maya is really insurmountable.”
Baba then told us about how to make the soul pure:
उठते, बैठते सधोते िाम हाथमें काम, मिमें िाम भक्जियों के मि तवश्ाम
uṭhate, beṭhate sote rāma hāthameṃ kāma, manameṃ rāma bhaktajanoṃ ke mana viśrāma
While getting up from bed, while sitting and while lying on the bed—always pray to him. Do your work with your hands, but while working pray to him always. and that will make your soul pure. When you pray, you pray with all your heart. Once your mind is single-mindedly devoted, it will reap you a better harvest. The more the mind will be fine, the more will you realize the fine things. Mind becomes dull in contact with things material. When both the mind and the senses get attached with a particular object, the mind comes to know about that object. One can neither achieve wisdom nor the essence of an object unless one is mindfully devoted to it.
