Fourth Taranga
Baba, being unable to avoid the entreaties of his disciples, had to go to Jalpaiguri. The 17th of Vaisakh was scheduled to be the date of departure for Jalpaiguri. he was to start the journey
at 1 a.m. to avail the train at Natore. Baba was ready for that; in fact Baba is always ready to do something for his dear devotees. he had a bag that used to contain some clothes and medicines. he had also a pot, slung on a rope, and a staff, made of wood, of about three feet. The staff, known as ‘shaktishail’, was offered to him by the Queen of Tripura. The staff was made from wood of a special quality. No snake dare slither into the room where this stick was.
anyway, Baba was ready with his bag and staff. The car was ready at the doorstep. Many a devotee stood up to pay their pranams to Baba, some of them had their eyes soaked with tears. Baba blessed everyone and in the name of God got into the car at 1 a.m. soon the car went out of sight. We then began to wonder if Baba would at all return to make this house pure.
Farewell over, i went upstairs. it was Chaturdashi night, lit up with the moonbeam. The whole world looked happy, but my mind seemed to be plunged in darkness. i sat down with eyes fixed at the sky above.
