That means, one who has renounced every desire is dear to me.
To renounce desires is not an easy affair. Those whom we see around us have not been successful in it. although it is impossible to wean oneself away from his desires, the revered Ramatirtha swami (one of the most famous sages of the Punjab) has offered a way out:
आसि जमाये बैठे हैं ड़ि से िा जाएँगे
āsana jamāye baiṭhe haiṃ ḍara se nā jāeṃge
That means, i am seated fixed at the door step, and i will not leave from my mission. That is to say, once one makes a firm determination and gets seated firmly at the doorstep of God, God is sure to appear before him.

in a quiet tone, said Baba, “he is immanent. No place is there on earth without him. The whole world is his, he is the whole world.”
हरि व्ापक सवजित्र समाि, प्रेम से प्रकट हुए भगवाि
hari vyāpaka sarvatra samāna, prema se prakaṭa hue bhagavāna
We all too want to mean that, but how many of us do it? We have no eyes to see his presence everywhere and in every atom of this earth of ours.
The Rishi offered a piece of advice: ्तत्िमजस श्े्तके्ततु। Tatvamasi shwetketu. (छान्दो्व्योपधनषद Chhandogya Upanishad).
shankar explains: “That you are.” (Tat + twam + asi ्त्त्+त्िम्+अजस).
Ramanuj says that: “You become his” (Tasya + twam + asi ्तस््य +त्िम्+अजस).
