as for us, we are too poor and ignorant to realize the truth within. We have no query if “he is i” or “i am yours”. What i want is to dedicate myself at Your lotus feet. Our firm belief is—
जधो जाकधो शिण ललए, सधो ताकी िाखें लाज, उलट जले मछली चले, बहह जाय गजिाज
jo jāko śaraṇa lie, so tākī rākheṃ lāja, ulaṭa jale machalī cale, bahi jāya gajarāja
so, my Lord, i have surrendered myself at Your lotus feet, protect me.
Eighth Taranga
On 6th of Jaistha in 1344 Bangabda (1938 aD) we were sud- denly informed that our Guru Maharaj shri shri Balananda Brahmachariji was seriously ill. it really pains to write now about
the kind of mental agony and suspense we had been subjected to on hearing such news while heading towards Deogarh. so it is better to control myself.
it was at that point of time, shri shri hansdev avadhoot, on leaving his ashram on the bank of the Narmada, was going to Bombay on an invitation from his disciples. Later on a few disciples invited him down to Kolkata. and Baba came to Kolkata on the occasion of the marriage ceremony of the brother of Manjurani (the Queen of Chowgram). On coming to know about it, we went to Kolkata to pay our pranam to Baba. at that time, we were as if in a state of mourning. On reaching there, we see our Baba sitting with his face aglow with a divine smile, and he was surrounded by many of his devotees.
