The place, which is incessantly being cleansed by the Rangit river on its meandering course, the place where the tall trees are raising their heads and hands as a show of pranam to the gods, the place where the fragrance of the flowers in the terrace-garden upto the horizon is being wafted in a gesture of respect to Kailaseswar, is chosen by him for his sojourn.
Before long a big hut was erected there. Baba took only ‘Karanga’ blanket and was bold enough to put up in that hut. he had with him nothing but the stick, 5 feet. long. and those who accompanied Baba were asked by him to live at a place, about a mile away from his. he stayed there amidst the wild beasts. Baba strongly believed that one who had not an iota of enmity in him could live there all alone, without being a prey to enmity or anger. But what about his food, the source of sustenance? he did not think about his food; instead he had an unshakable faith in the Paramatman and he began to live in the loving lap of Nature and without fear. and God has everything to offer one who loves him most. Those who used to tend their cattle or the villagers living there began offering Baba an ample amount of milk. They also offered fruits, either collected from Nature or from their farms. and they did so with all reverence and piety. Neither they nor Baba could follow their respective tongues. silence used to be more eloquent than speech. The disciples, after having made their offerings at his feet, used to stand in front of him, with hands folded. Baba accepted their offerings with a smiling face which was lit up with peace and bliss, love and affection. and the givers used to feel contented.
The way Baba used to spend his life either in his youth or manhood was the same way he led his life in solitude at the foothills of the himalayas. No one knew about how he spent his days there. Whatever i had heard from him is as follows:
he said that he enjoyed his life more in the solitude of the himalayas than in the Kailash ashram or the Narmada ashram. he took it to be a grace of God to have lived in the midst of sylvan beauty and the pure-hearted people of the himalayas. and when Baba left for the city, he offered them a treat upto their satiety. They came in hoards, in company with their family, children,
