the way to collect gold. The second piece of advice was—there is an end to the amount of money to be spent on oneself but the amount of money meant to be dedicated to the service of others in need never ends. We also took note of indolence and lack of devotion to the father. God helps him who helps others in need.
Sixth Taranga
Baba said,
That is to say, it is he who speaks, hears and smells. it is he who sees everything with his eyes. [Note: ‘Khud’ means ‘oneself’.]
Guru Nanak said the same thing differently—
Brahma suniye, Brahma dekhiye, Brahma Brahma bākhāniye, Nānak pasarā kāran harā tash binā nā jānieh.
That is to say, whatever you will hear, see and say—Nanak says, this illusory world is nothing but Brahma.
Well, i could follow this point. But is it meant for one living a family life? Those who live in the cave of a mountain, live on fruits and roots and having no material acquisition except ‘Koupin’ and ‘Karanka’ may take this world to be illusory and nothing but Brahma. But we humans, who lead a family life, cannot say that Brahma is stealing our gold ornaments when the robbers are decamping with the boxes of jewels from our house. so leave aside Brahma and allow us to sit like King Bharata and to see the activities of Brahma in a detached way. The point is, the mission of a sannyasin is different from that of a family-man. if that be so, what is the religion or mission of life of a family-man? Baba has clearly defined it.
