in the same way. The disciples try to decorate their temples and idols according to their tastes and beliefs. Our god in turn has to endure this trouble of his disciples’ desire. Many a time common people think why a Sannyasin should have a house or things of luxury. But an intelligent person knows that there is not only renunciation in the heart of his Lord but also there is universal love. To him a decorated palace is equal to a mortuary.
One day Baba said that a person wishing to bathe in the ocean would forever sit at the sea shore if he waits for the turbulent waves to subside. in the same way a person who thinks that he would immerse himself in Bhajan and Sadhana once worldly commotion subsides, will never be able to do so. To explain this vividly, Baba told a story.
There was a Mahatma who was pleased with the head of the family. The man took great care of him when the Mahatma came to his residence. after some time the man said, “By your mercy, i had three sons, please bless them with long life”. The Mahatma replied, ‘My son, long life is not desirable, if one does not have an understanding with the Lord, then what is the utility of a long life? i advise you to do bhajan-sadhana. The man said, it is yet not time for Bhajan and Sadhana as i have yet to see my grandson.” The Mahatma departed.
it was time for us to go home. We expressed our desire to Babaji that we had to leave Jasidih the next day. We said that we had gained such vast knowledge from him and spent our days in joy during our stay. Baba said, “Ma, bliss is within us. some feel it when they listen to music, some feel it when they have their children on their laps while some play games. Joy takes different shapes in different situations.”
We had come to take leave from Baba but my husband could not as he was bitten by a dog. Nitrate acid was used in the wound. had surma been applied at the wound, the poison would have been neutralised, said Baba. When Baba was informed that my husband was unable to take his leave and blessings due to his condition, Baba expressed his sadness and to our surprise said “i will go.” We were surprised as he never visited the house of a family man.
