other option but to decide to dispose off the gold images. and with that object in view, he went to a jeweller with those images, made of gold. When the goldsmith, on weighing the images of sri Ramchandra and Mahavir, said that the image of Mahavir was much more valuable than that of sri Ramchandra, he got surprised and said, “how is it possible? how can the value of the servant be more than that of the Master”? in reply, the goldsmith added, “To me, there is no difference between the master and his servant. To me they are made of gold and hence all the same.”
Our Baba then said, “The Paramatman is one and it assumes different names in the form of different things.” The Gita says (6-29):
सवजिभूतस्थमात्ािं सवजिभूतानि चात्नि। ईक्षते यधोगयुक्ात्ा सवजित्र समदशजििः॥
sarvabhūtasthamātmānaṃ sarvabhūtāni cātmani, īkṣate yogayuktātmā sarvatra samadarśanaḥ.
Baba also offered us a lot more advice that day. and as he saw the evening approaching, he bade us farewell. We did not feel like leaving his holy company.
Fifth Taranga
The winter was very chilly in the month of December. Weather conditions were cloudy along with scattered rains and strong wind. We could not get out from the house for a few days. When the weather improved, we went to see Baba at Kailash Pahar.
after reaching there we were dumbstruck. Baba’s tiny room was flooded with rain. The rains pierced through the open roof. Baba’s bed was wet. he had spent a couple of nights sitting under an umbrella. Provision of food was under similar condition. We were pained to see him in that condition. i turned emotional
