the earthly things. Under the refuge of the Paramatman, sit down for Bhajan with determination and concentration and see whether you do not acquire permanent joy.” in this way the mind steeped in worldly flow of thoughts can be turned towards Paramatman with rational and good thoughts. The way to turn the mind from worldly thoughts can be through repetitive Satsang, good thoughts, Japa and Dhyana. The mind thus becomes pure and subtle. With the help of this subtle mind one can gain the power to perceive the one who is the subtlest. Through practice and Sadhana one will thus gain Vairagya (stoicism) which will help him to perceive the one Paramatman evermore. During the state of Samadhi the subtle mind, Karan Sharir (Causal body), Mahakaran atman and Paramatman all are fused into one. The subtle dissolved mind helps to perceive the Parmatman. if the mind has the propensity of Rajasika, it cannot turn subtle. Not being totally pure it is not worthy for Samadhi.
Babaji also said that one should either concentrate on one’s incoming and out-going breath or in the Parmatman which ever settles his mind with utmost endeavour. Whatever one likes, or one’s prana craves for, one should follow that path and simultaneously sit down to meditate. One will surely gain the fruit of labour in this case. in this way, the Rishis through various paths and forms of Sadhana along with the Lord’s grace could attain their goal. One needs to practice his Sadhana in the way one likes or the way shown by his Guru. it will certainly yield the desired result. sri Guru Maharaj also said, “Do not change your shore from one to another. stick to one shore with determination and you will attain the God you love”. Therefore to take one path with determination will result in the realization of the truth.
another time in the garden of sri Lakshminarayan saraf, we found Babaji sitting on a bench and reading scriptures with great concentration. he was least perturbed by the strong sun rays. as soon as we paid our obeisance to Babaji, he said aloud “Jai Maa Lakshmi.” Whenever someone paid his obeisance to him he would either say “Jai Shankar” or “Jai Mahadev” or “Jai Maa Lakshmi”.
